” That way, they know that you are looking for a response.

You know what is right even if you don’t want to accept it. If you text late at night when you’re not sure if they are going to get it that day or the day after, then you are setting it up so that they aren’t going to text you back right away. Sometimes you forget, and it keeps getting pushed back, and, before you know it, days have gone by.

If you want to increase the likelihood that they will text you back quickly, and you can have a conversation, try to pick a time of day where they won’t be busy or distracted.
